Should you have a mission statement for your blog? After teaching my students how to write a personal mission statement and a mission statement for their business plans, I decided a mission statement for my blog was precisely what I needed. “Why in the world….” you are probably wondering would I need a mission statement for my blog? As I explained to my students a mission statement is a brief description of what you want to focus on, what you want to accomplish and who you want to become in a particular area of your life over the next one to three years. It is a way to focus your actions, behaviors and decisions towards the things that are most important to you.

With that be said, the mission statement for my blog is:
“To develop and cultivate the importance of knowledge sharing and dissemination of information. I will achieve this through weekly/bi-weekly blog posts based on my weekly assignments and topical research related to my courses that I am taking a Walden University.”
